Guess what? KFC is making a big comeback in Türkiye! After closing all their restaurants earlier this year, they’re now teaming up with a new partner to reopen their doors.

🍗 Why Did KFC Leave Türkiye?

In early 2025, KFC and Pizza Hut had to shut down their restaurants in Türkiye. This happened because their local partner, Iş Gıda, went bankrupt. Yum! Brands, the company that owns KFC and Pizza Hut, ended their deal with Iş Gıda because they weren’t meeting the company’s standards. At that time, there were over 500 KFC and Pizza Hut restaurants across the country.

🤝 Who Is the New Partner?

Now, KFC is joining forces with HD Holding, a Turkish company known for its popular food brands like HD İskender and Pidem. These brands are famous for serving delicious Turkish dishes like Iskender kebap and pide. HD Holding is also bringing in a fund company as an investor to help with this new venture.

💰 Big Plans Ahead

KFC and HD Holding are planning to invest $50 million over the next two years to reopen KFC restaurants in Türkiye. They’re working hard to finalize the agreement and hope to start operations before the end of the year. The number of restaurants they’ll open depends on finding the right locations and signing lease agreements.

📅 When Will KFC Reopen?

While there’s no exact date yet, KFC aims to resume operations in Türkiye as soon as possible, hopefully before the end of 2025. They’re excited to bring back their famous fried chicken to Turkish customers.

🔍 Final Thoughts

KFC’s return to Türkiye is great news for fans of their crispy fried chicken. With a strong local partner like HD Holding, they’re set to make a successful comeback. Keep an eye out for new KFC restaurants opening near you.
